Sr. Indigo Technician - Phoenix, AZ
Performs electrical, mechanical, chemical, and consumables diagnostics and repair of HP Indigo press 5500, and newer, used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and technical drawings. Uses test and diagnostic tools to evaluate equipment operation. Rebuilds / Modifies manufacturing equipment as required. Performs audits of Preventative Maintenance tasks. Works with vendor to schedule upgrades, high-level repair and evaluation of new equipment & software.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repair
- Preventative Maintenance scheduling
- Repair prioritization
- Timely execution of assigned tasks
- Escalation to equipment vendors
- Inventory control of maintenance parts and supplies
- Training and direction of other Technicians
Additional responsibilities include:
- Support of Manufacturing R&D team
- Implementation of equipment improvements and upgrades
- Deployment, documentation and training for new equipment
The Senior Technician will be a part of the technical team and will have additional responsibility to assist Operations management when needed. The Senior Technician for Indigos will be the key technical contact with vendor.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 6+ years Digital Press experience desired
- 2 year technical degree or equivalent
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working in a 24/7 environment
- Thorough experience in technical maintenance of light manufacturing equipment
- Thorough understanding of process control, troubleshooting of recurring or intermittent issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple priorities in a changing environment and develop effective solutions
- Ability to document procedures and practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, e-mail and maintenance/spare parts mgmt. programs
