Director, Photobooks Business

The Director is responsible for running the company’s largest and fastest growing product line, Photobooks. The company has achieved the leading share in the Photobooks market, and we are looking for the right person to significantly extend our market leadership in this business. The major objectives of this position are to: (a) Establish and drive strategic, cross-functional business plans for Photobooks that include developing new initiatives designed to grow the business; (b) Achieve aggressive Photobook product line revenue and profitability targets.

Besides setting the strategic agenda and driving the business results, the Director will also be responsible for establishing the product roadmap investments for engineering and manufacturing; setting product positioning and product pricing, and establishing strategic business development partnerships that will fundamentally impact the Photobooks business. The Director will have dedicated cross-functional support to help ensure success from a variety of internal functions including Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Market Research, etc.

The position reports to the VP of the Products Business. We are seeking a talented, driven Director-level person who strives for excellence and has a history of success. This person must desire a fast-paced environment and thrive in a company and industry undergoing significant growth. Candidates with significant experience in strategy consulting and product marketing at a consumer online company are strongly preferred.

Requirements:

• MBA from top-tier school is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years work experience: (1) With at least 2 years experience in strategy consulting and 3-5 years experience in product marketing at a consumer technology/online or CPG company OR (2) More than 6 years of strategy consulting experience with emphasis in consumer products.
• Exceptional strategic, analytical and problem solving skills required. Ability to generate new insights from various information sources and turn these insights into strategies and executable plans.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to build effective partnerships across the organization at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to drive business results
• Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence and winning
• Experience identifying and negotiating business development opportunities
